The Unique Flavor Profile of Bulleit Bourbon: A High-Rye Whiskey Worth Trying.

Bulleit Bourbon is a spirit that has become a staple in the world of whiskey. This is due not only to its unique flavor, but also to its rich history and production process.

Bulleit Bourbon was first created in the mid-1800s by Augustus Bulleit. He was a local bartender in Louisville, Kentucky, and his bourbon quickly gained popularity among the locals. However, production of the bourbon halted after Augustus’ death, and it was not until 1987 that Augustus’ great-great-grandson, Tom Bulleit, rediscovered the recipe and began producing Bulleit Bourbon once again.

Bulleit Bourbon is a high-rye whiskey, meaning that it has a higher proportion of rye in its grain bill than most bourbons. This gives it a unique flavor profile that is both spicy and sweet. The bourbon is aged for at least six years in charred American oak barrels, which gives it its distinct smoky flavor.
