Angels Envy was founded by master distiller Lincoln Henderson, who spent over 40 years in the bourbon industry before creating his own label. He was inspired to create Angels Envy after noticing that many of the bourbons on the market were very similar in taste and lacked the complexity and depth that he believed a truly great bourbon should have.
To create Angels Envy, Henderson started with a high-quality, 6-8-year-old bourbon made from corn, rye, and malted barley. This bourbon is then finished in port wine barrels, giving it a unique flavor profile that is unlike any other bourbon on the market.
The taste of Angels Envy was truly exceptional. On the nose, you’ll noticed notes of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak. Its deep mahogany color offered the first hint of the smooth and complex flavor profile that was to follow – a flavor which had been aged to perfection in old bourbon barrels. The taste was exquisite, a combination of sweet and smoky notes, with a hint of fruitiness that lingered on the palate.
